Welcome to NWT Research Wiki

The Aurora Research Institute is responsible for licensing and coordinating research in accordance with the NWT Scientists Act. We also promote communication between researchers and the people of the land, in which they work. Increasing public awareness of the importance of science, technology and indigenous knowledge is a key goal.

Aurora Research Institute is located in Inuvik and Fort Smith, Northwest Territories, Canada. For contact information please see our Contact Us web page.

Our purpose for this wiki is to provide a means to provide a method of data storage, capture and display for our Compendia of Research in the NWT, Guide to Research in the NWT and Scientific Report Series.

Please note that, in the case of the Compedia of Research in the NWT, the data is to be considered ongoing work. The information that you see may not be complete for that particular year. Compendia years being added and/or complete will be noted as such below.

Year(s) Completed: 2000, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
with the exception of wildlife and fisheries permits as the data is currently being reviewed.
